Is Anti-Semitic Mel Gibson's 'The Passion of The Christ' Full of Lies? Is Mel Gibson's movie, "The Passion of The Christ", an accurate portrayal of the "real" Jesus of Scripture? Many have praised Mel Gibson's Roman Catholic movie, "The Passion of The Christ". Some have even claimed that it is "good", (or somehow beneficial), to watch, since they claim that it is "true to the Bible". But, is this movie really "true to the Bible" as so many have claimed? The script for this movie was based on many different sources, including the Roman Catholic Bible. These sources also included various Roman Catholic mystics and nuns, Roman Catholic traditions, and anti-Semitic Mel Gibson's own personal Roman Catholic religious ideas. We could say that this movie basically does in some places, (but not entirely), agree with the Bible's account of what actually happened in the hours preceding the crucifixion of Christ. Nevertheless, in so many other places, this movie is at odds with the Bible's account of what actually happened. What the movie therefore gives us is a mixture of light with darkness, truth with error, God with Belial, and the true Jesus with "another Jesus". Some would say this movie's presentation of "another Jesus" is excusable, because they claim a supposed right by movie producers to use "poetic license" in movies. We, however, have another description for the portrayal of Jesus as saying things which He did not actually say and of doing things which He did not actually do. We call such a portrayal, "lying about Jesus". We call it lying, because we are "Fundamentalist Baptists" and not "New Evangelicals" like Billy Graham and Rick Warren, or a "Pseudo-Fundamentalist" like the late Jerry Falwell. Such "Bapticatholic" compromisers feel quite comfortable in supporting a movie which makes lies about Jesus. They also know that this is certainly a Roman Catholic movie, yet still support it anyway, (since they have already been cooperating with the Pope and with Roman Catholicism in general for many years). Although it might not bother the consciences of others to support a movie by an anti-Semite which is filled with lies about Jesus; for us as Fundamentalist Baptists to support such a movie would be to commit a wicked sin against our Savior. We must therefore refuse to commit such a wicked, sinful act. Furthermore, we believe that to support any movie which makes bold lies about Jesus, (such as "The Last Temptation of Christ" or this movie), is to commit a terrible sin against Jesus Christ. We believe that all such lying about Jesus is, in reality, filthy blasphemy against Jesus Christ. Can we or should we, (or should anyone else for that matter), support the blasphemy of Christ by a Hollywood movie? We might well expect a Muslim or an Atheist to support the blasphemy of Christ in such a Hollywood movie. We would say that any thinking Christian, who has seriously considered this matter, should definitely say, "No!" to such blasphemy of Christ. Nevertheless, we are apparently living in an age of Great Apostasy and of demonic deception. We believe that today's apostasy and spiritual deception will one day culminate in many so-called Christians supporting the "Antichrist" and then taking the "Mark of the Beast" on their forehead or right hand. Spiritual deception, however, is already working in the world today among the Children of Disobedience. Will many of the so-called Christians who support this blasphemous movie one day take the "Mark of the Beast" as well? God forbid! "The Passion of The Christ" is full of blasphemous lies about Jesus. Therefore, is the movie "true to the Bible"? The answer is a resounding "No!"
